The proposed 26 acre park will be directly adjacent to Encanto. Oxnard was selected as one of 62 communities to receive the $8.5 million grant that will cover the first phase of design and construction.

On December 15 2021, the City Council approved a $1 million contract with the prestigious MIG planning and design firm. MIG will be providing the landscape architecture and engineering design of the park. Construction is expected to begin April 2022 with completion expected in 2024.

Campus Park will feature:

  • A bicycle pump track.
  • Skate park.
  • Playground.
  • Walking trails.
  • Basketball courts.
  • Pelota Mixteca court.

  • Performing arts amphitheater/pavilion.

  • Multi-use field and meadow.

  • Community garden.

  • Dry river creek.

  • Public art.

  • Dog Park.

  • Stormwater improvements.

  • Lighting and landscaping throughout.
